Bowen Yang Says Travis Kelce Is His ‘Straight Friend for Life’

Nearly a year after they met on the Saturday Night Live set, Bowen Yang and Travis Kelce remain friends.

The comic said he has kept in contact with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end over the past year. “He is my straight male friend for life,” he revealed over the weekend during an interview with the Los Angeles Times at the 2024 Emmys. “Travis, I love you.”

The SNL sketch the two stars in together when the athlete hosts a season 49 episode in October 2023 is “Straight Male Friend.” The sketch depicted the pleasures of “a low-effort friendship that requires no emotional commitment, financial investment or drama” between a gay man and a straight man.
