Kamala Harris has Hollywood’s backing in the 2024 presidential election.
Charli XCX and more celebrities have endorsed the Vice President as the Democratic party’s nominee since Joe Biden dropped out of the race on July 21.
“I believe it is in the best interest of my party and my country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” the politician wrote in a statement at the time.
He went on to thank Harris and called her an âextraordinary partnerâ during his White House tenure.

Minutes later, he shared his âfull support and endorsementâ for the former prosecutor to be the partyâs nominee for the 47th President of the United States.

British pop star Charli XCX tweeted that “Kamala IS brat” on July 21.
The singer described “brat,” the title of her sixth album, that same month as a “very honest” and “very blunt” person “who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things some times.”
She added that âbrat,â which is stylized in a lowercase black font over a neon green background, embodies someone with a âpack of cigs, a Bic lighter and a strappy white top with no bra.â
After her tweet, the @KamalaHQ account â which is the official rapid response page of Harrisâ presidential campaign â reacted. The X profileâs background photo now features âkamala hqâ written in black over the viral color.
Harrisâ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, even got in on the âbratâ fun by reposting Charli XCXâs tweet to her Instagram Story.

On July 21, Cardi B reminded her Instagram followers that she predicted Harris’ run for president.
“STOP PLAYING WIT ME!!!! Check the date.. said this on JUNE 30TH!” the rapper captioned a throwback video. “been told yâall Kamala shouldâve been the 2024 candidate. Yâall be trying to play the Bronx education, baby this what I do!!! Been my passion.. donât let my accent fool yâall.”
However, the Grammy winner tweeted her hesitancy to endorse Harris, writing that she “need[ed] a second” and wished the party had “ushered [in] someone new way before.”

Barbra Streisand shared her endorsement for Harris in a statement to the New York Times.
âPresident Biden and Vice President Harris ushered this nation out of the [Donald] Trump chaos. Iâm so grateful to President Biden and so excited to support Kamala Harris,â the singer wrote.
âShe will work to restore womenâs reproductive freedom and continue with the accomplishments begun in the Biden-Harris administration.â

“She’s ready for this fight and I’m excited to help her in any way I can,” the EGOT winner wrote.
The “All of Me” singer noted that he wanted to “reject Trump’s authoritarian, oppressive Project 2025 and elect Kamala Harris as our President.”

While Beyoncé has not made a statement regarding the possible candidacy, her team granted permission for Harris to use her song “Freedom.”
Harris walked out to the hit while making her first official visit to her campaign headquarters on July 22.
Beyoncé’s response to Harris’ request was prompt as they contacted her representatives earlier that same day, CNN reported.

One week after George Clooney called for Biden to step down from the race in a New York Times op-ed, he endorsed Harris.
