Diddy Arrested in NYC After Grand Jury Indictment
Diddy Arrested – Billboard has verified that Diddy was detained in New York on Monday night (Sept. 16) following grand jury indictment on unidentified allegations.
Marc Agnifilo, attorney for Diddy (real name Sean Combs), stated in a statement to Billboard: “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.” Having spent the previous thirty years creating an empire, devoted family guy, and proven philanthropist, Sean “Diddy” Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, and self-made man.
Though he is imperfect, he is not criminal. Mr. Combs has been quite helpful with our inquiry and freely moved to New York last week in expectation of these allegations. Kindly hold your judgment once you get all the information. An innocent individual with nothing to hide looks forward to clearing his name in court; he acts in this manner.

TMZ claims Diddy was arrested Monday under federal detention at the FBI’s Manhattan field office.
At least eight legal lawsuits alleging sexual abuse over the past year have been filed against the rap singer; one of them began it all from ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and later featured a video showing him mistreating her. That litigation was quietly settled in under twenty-four hours even before the video surfaced. Following police raids on his houses in March, Combs is also under apparent federal criminal investigation.
Dawn Richard of Danity Kane’s action last week in Manhattan federal court claims Diddy “manipulated” her into believing that “abuse and exploitation were required for female artists to succeed in the music business.” Richard says she saw Combs mistreating Ventura several times and that recent complaints from Cassie and others motivated her to speak out.
“As more women boldly come forward, plaintiff has been empowered by this collective strength and now adds her voice to the rising chorus of victims bravely sharing their horrific stories,” lawyers for Richard write. As the most recent victims of the #Me Too movement in the music business, they jointly seek justice and stand in unity.
Combs’ attorney Erica Wolff responded to Richard’s complaint on Wednesday in a statement saying her client was “shocked and disappointed” by the fresh claims.
