‘Humiliated’ Shannon Beador tearfully apologizes to daughters for DUI arrest in ‘RHOC’ Season 18 clip

Shannon Beador tearfully apologized to her daughters for her DUI arrest as cameras rolled for “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”

In the first seven minutes of the Season 18 premiere, which Bravo released Tuesday, the reality star began to cry as she told Sophie Beador, 22, and twins Stella and Adeline Beador, 19, that she was sorry.

“I mean, I took Sophie to college, I took Adeline to college and your dad took you,” Shannon said while looking at Stella, who was studying in Paris at the time.

In the first seven minutes of the premiere, which Bravo released Tuesday, the reality star began to cry as she told Sophie Beador and twins Stella and Adeline Beador that she was sorry.

“So it was my intent to come and visit you,” Shannon continued, “and because of my mistakes, I wasn’t able to come, and I feel bad.”

Shannon, now 60, let out a big sigh and added, “I’m so sorry and humiliated that I disappointed you. Like, what kind of example am I at 59 years old?”

Stella looked at her distraught mother and said, “We’re glad that you’re OK and that no one was hurt.” Sophie tacked on, “And that you take accountability for your actions, and you learn from them and you grow.”

Shannon, still crying, told her girls, “I’ve never broken a bone, I’ve never had a concussion, I’ve never been in an accident, I’ve never been arrested, I’ve never had a DUI, and I did all that in 10 seconds.”

Sophie acknowledged that the situation “sucks” but felt it “happened for a reason.”

“God has a plan,” Shannon insisted. “I absolutely believe that.”

Sophie then praised her mom for “taking more initiative” to figure out “why things have happened” in her life and why she keeps “certain people” around.

The Bravolebrity agreed, saying the ordeal made her see who her “true friends are.”

In a later confessional, Shannon explained what preceded her September 2023 arrest for driving under the influence and hit-and-run, for which she was sentenced to three years of probation, 40 hours of community service and a nine-month alcohol program.

She said she had “stupidly” driven to her ex-boyfriend John Janssen’s house, where they “got into a big argument.”

Janssen allegedly called Shannon a “drunken idiot” before telling her to not get in her car.

“But I got in an accident a second later because I revved up the engine so he could know how mad I was,” she recalled. “And I lost control of the car immediately.”

“God has a plan,” she insisted. “I absolutely believe that.”

Despite the emotional apology, Tamra Judge claimed in the next scene that she witnessed Shannon sneak alcohol into her cup while backstage at one of their Tres Amigas comedy shows with Vicki Gunvalson shortly after the arrest.

At the time, Judge, 56, said Shannon was “telling people and the press that she wasn’t drinking.”

That’s when the former CUT Fitness co-owner “just lost respect” for her former friend, who “could have killed herself” or “her dog.”

Shannon’s co-stars have expressed concern over her drinking habits in the past, but their worry grew exponentially amid her on-again, off-again relationship with Janssen, who is now dating returning “RHOC” star Alexis Bellino.

While dealing with their breakup after nearly four years together, Shannon was arrested for drunkenly crashing her vehicle at a high rate of speed into a house before fleeing the scene.

The Real for Real founder then parked her car in the middle of the street and pretended to walk her Golden Retriever, Archie, who was in the vehicle.

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” Season 18 premieres July 11 on Bravo.
