Anderson Cooper says pal Andy Cohen is ‘paddling really, really fast under the water’ to maintain career
Anderson Cooper says his close pal Andy Cohen is doing a lot to stay afloat in showbiz.
The Bravo honcho has faced much scrutiny in recent months after becoming the subject of allegations made by several former “Real Housewives” stars.
In an effort to keep it moving, Cooper, 57, said his friend is doing a lot of work behind the scenes.

“Every day when I turn on my phone, I see content that Andy Cohen is responsible for,” Cooper told Vulture of Cohen, 56. “Much more so than any late-night host.”
Though the Bravo boss “makes it look easy,” Cooper admitted that his pal is “paddling really, really fast under the water.”
While he didn’t name specifics, Cooper could be referring to the outside investigation into misconduct claims Bravo opened into Cohen earlier this year.
In March, “Real Housewives of New York City” alum Leah McSweeney filed a lengthy lawsuit that leveled a slew of accusations against Cohen and Bravo’s tentpole franchise.
In her suit, she accused Cohen of offering cocaine to certain talent and handing out special professional favors to them.

McSweeney, 41, also alleged that Cohen and Bravo had preyed on her alcohol issues in an attempt to generate good ratings and even facilitated a work environment that turned a blind eye to sexually predatory behavior.
Cohen has categorically denied the allegations, with a rep for the TV personality previously telling Page Six, “The claims against Andy are completely false.”

Elsewhere, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Brandi Glanville accused Cohen of sexual harassment in February, claiming that he had invited her to watch him and “Below Deck” alum Kate Chastain have sex.
Cohen brushed the allegation off via X, but publicly apologized for making an “inappropriate” joke during a 2022 phone exchange involving the trio.

Elsewhere in his Vulture interview, Cohen admitted that he is “waiting” for something to pop up that will ultimately cancel him.
“Sometimes at night I’ll be in bed and I’ll think, ‘Huh, did I say something?’” the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host told the outlet. “I’m always waiting for the thing that’s going to make it all fall down.”

He added that he’s “fascinated” by the fact you could say something and have the rug pulled out from under you so swiftly.
“You have to be smart about what you say because there’s no nuance anymore,” he told the outlet. “People are just waiting to be outraged by every little thing.”
