Broadway star Andy Karl already ‘swanning’ about NYC with ‘new woman’ after ending marriage with Orfeh just ‘weeks’ ago

A scandalous stage split is lighting up Broadway, Page Six hears.

As we previously reported, Andy Karl — the Tony-nominated husband of beloved theater star Orfeh — broke off their 23-year marriage after falling for his co-star in an Australian production of the musical “Groundhog Day.”

And while his amorous Antipodean antics weren’t winning him many friends on the Great White Way in the first place, we’re told that Karl has further effed up in the eyes of the acting community by immediately importing his Aussie lover to the Big Apple.

“He only ended it with Orfeh a few weeks ago,” said a scandalized source, “and he’s already swanning about New York with the new woman.”

Sour spies said that if he was going to unceremoniously dump his wife for a younger actress he could at least leave a dignified stretch of time before introducing his new squeeze to the stateside scene.

On Friday, we reported that Karl — who starred in the Bill Murray role in the musical adaptation for two stints in the West End, as well as during the Broadway run — spent a few months in Melbourne starring opposite Elise McCann in the Andie MacDowell role.

But it seems the co-stars shared more than an appreciation for the material.

Insiders told us that Orfeh — who shot to fame in the musical adaption of “Legally Blonde” — went to Australia in February to visit Karl, where he “paraded her around Melbourne as if everything was fine” — only to tell her shortly before she was due to return to the US that he planned to leave her for McCann.

Karl put out a statement announcing the split two weeks ago, saying: “After 23 years of a wonderful loving relationship, both onstage and off, we have made the decision to separate.”

He added, “Keeping a marriage strong can be challenging, especially when working on opposite sides of the world.”
