Come on, let’s head to the Barbie Dream home in Malibu!
The Malibu Barbie dream home is officially available for rent on Airbnb, hosted by Ken (Ryan Gosling’s character as Barbie’s right-hand man). In order to give fans a one-of-a-kind experience at the life-sized, toy-inspired house in July, he is forgoing his rollerblades and surf shorts, demonstrating that he is more than “Just Ken.”
Everyone in Barbie Land may make a request to reserve Ken’s room in Barbie’s DreamHouse on July 17 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time for two separate one-night stays for up to two guests at airbnb.com/kendreamhouse. Selected winners get two nights’ free lodging at the pink mansion in Malibu on July 21 and 22, so they may enjoy all the Kenergy the newly renovated beach house has to offer.
Barbie is fortunate to live in a home full of dreams, as Ken stated in a news statement. But now it’s my turn, I’m excited to welcome visitors in these unique – dare I say, one-of-a-Ken? – digs.
Barbie’s trademark pink can be seen on the recently remodeled Malibu dream home but with an updated Kenergy. During their stay, visitors will have the chance to browse Ken’s closet, practice line dancing on the outdoor disco floor, compete in a “beach off” beside the infinity pool, and take home a pair of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboards as a special souvenir from the Kendom.
Ken’s hosting commemorates the debut of Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach’s film “Barbie,” on July 21. Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrara, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell will all appear in the movie.
In honor of the publication, Airbnb will give a one-time gift to Save the Children, a charity that supports girls’ self-confidence by offering learning materials and assistance to kids, families, and communities.
