Fired ‘Good Morning America’ anchor for having an affair with co-worker
T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s romance is moving forward.
The former “Good Morning America” cohosts, according to a recent rumor, are “moving in together” and prepared to “further cement their relationship.”
“They’re together all the time anyway, mostly at her place,” a friend of the couple told DailyMail.com. “I know at first we may have thought this was just a fling that would burn out, but nuh-uh. They are committed.”
It is probable that the formal move-in date will be in late summer, when the story claims that T.J.’s lease on his Manhattan flat is due for renewal. His separation with Marilee Fiebig is anticipated to be fully finalized by then as well.
The romance between the two has not been without criticism. On November 30, 2022, DailyMail.com broke the shocking news that the pair, who were both married at the time, had transformed their friendship into a love connection months earlier. Following the controversy, ABC took T.J. and Amy off the air on December 5 while the network’s president decided what to do next. Almost two months later, on January 27, 2023, both were fired.
After several productive conversations … about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News,” an ABC News spokesperson said.
Since then, Amy and “Melrose Place” star Andrew Shue’s divorce has been legally binding. She allegedly also relocated to a co-op in New York City. T.J., meantime, ended his marriage to Marilee and moved into an apartment in the Financial District of the Big Apple.
T.J. and Amy are now a unit in all aspects, the report says, noting they are “focused, determined, and very much in love and about to make more of a commitment to each other.”
They haven’t obscured their connection since it became public; they are frequently photographed together in New York or when on vacation.
“They run together and hit up their favorite gym practically every day,” the previous source said. “They’re out for romantic dinners…. a little PDA at their local grocery store.”
