Joe Alwyn steps out for Prada fashion show after breaking silence on ‘hard’ Taylor Swift split

Joe Alwyn stepped out for a Prada fashion show after speaking out about his bombshell split from ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.

On Sunday, the English actor was all smiles as he attended the fashion event showcasing the brand’s menswear Spring and Summer 2025 collection in Milan, Italy.

He put on a fashionable display as he rocked a purple turtleneck sweater, a black jacket, jeans and black dress shoes.

The “Harriet” star’s outing comes a day after he broke his silence on his highly publicized split from Swift, 34.

“I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,” he told the Times Saturday, explaining that the breakup was a “hard thing to navigate.”

Alwyn admitted he was taken aback by the “unusual and abnormal” buzz surrounding their split adding, “It’s suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in.”

“So you have something very real suddenly thrown into a very unreal space: tabloids, social media, press, where it is then dissected, speculated on, pulled out of shape beyond recognition,” he continued.

The actor explained he learned that there is “a gap between what is known and what is said.”

“I have made my peace with that,” he said.

Swift and Alwyn enjoyed a low-profile romance throughout their relationship from 2016 to 2023.

While they were occasionally photographed together, the pop star rarely gave fans an insight into their love life aside from publicly thanking her ex while accepting the 2021 Grammy for Album of the Year.

“Joe, who is the first person that I play every single song that I write, and I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine,” she said during her acceptance speech for her “Folklore” album.

Alwyn admitted in his Times interview that he had a “mutual” agreement with the “Lover” songstress to keep their relationship private, a promise he intends to keep.

“It was never something to commodify and I see no reason to change that now,” he said.

Meanwhile, Swift appears to be done with keeping her love life private as she’s in a very public relationship with Travis Kelce.

The pop icon and the Kansas City Chiefs star have flaunted their romance from NFL games to ritzy date nights.

Swift revealed her choice to publicly display her relationship with Kelce, 34, during her Time Person of the Year profile last year.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said in December.

“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
