The couple, Richards, 54, and Umansky, 53, announced their separation last Friday after 27 years of marriage.
Hours before they separated the couple wrote a message on Instagram sharing that this has been their “most difficult” year together.
Any allegations that we are divorcing are false, the statement said. “Having said that, it has been a difficult year. the most difficult one in our marriage. However, we have a great deal of love and respect for one another.
Richards and Umansky emphasized that “there has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part” and urged fans to “not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
The former couple, who have three kids together—Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15—have been seen together and are still wearing their wedding bands despite their separation.
The real estate agent and his estranged wife were last spotted celebrating the Fourth of July together in an Instagram photo.
Season 13 of “RHOBH,” which has begun shooting is expected to provide viewers with additional information about their split.
According to a source, “this development has rocked the Bravo world,” according to GWN. “Producers know fans want to see Kyle and Mauricio’s how they came to making this tough decision.”
