Despite the uncertainty surrounding her anticipated worldwide tour, Madonna still has not recovered fans are wondering if the Celebration Tour is going to happen.
According to a source who spoke to GWN on Wednesday, the “Vogue” hitmaker has been feeling “weak and very tired” as she spends the majority of her time in bed recovering from a serious bacterial illness.
The 64-year-old pop icon was taken to a hospital in New York City after being discovered unconscious, as GWN exclusively reported last week.
She had to be intubated the first night she spent in the hospital before the tube could be removed.
Due to a medical issue, the Grammy winner’s Celebration tour has been postponed.
The concert was initially slated to begin in Vancouver on July 15.
GWN was previously informed by a source close to the production of the show that the singer has been “strenuously rehearsing” for up to 12 hours every day in order to get ready for the international tour.
The “Material Girl” singer was allegedly “constantly pushing herself” to keep up with her younger dancers, according to a different insider.
One of her friends told GWN, “She is as or even better than the people she is working with, yet most of them are half of her age and without her history of injuries.
Of course, there are older performers still performing, but they don’t dance and perform as well as she does.
After releasing a throwback image from the set of their 1992 movie “A League of Their Own,” comedian Rosie O’Donnell earlier provided an update on the Queen of Pop’s progress.
The comedian Rosie posted an image of her and Madonna in their baseball uniforms stating “Remember when? #league #mo.”
The “Now and Then” actress answered to fans’ inquiries regarding the performer’s health by saying, “She is recovering at home — she is very strong in general.”
The “Evita” actress has not yet spoken about her stay in the hospital. A collection of images from her tour rehearsals were featured in her most recent Instagram post on June 20.
The caption was “The Calm Before The Storm,” she added.
On Mother’s Day, Madonna was last spotted out in public dining with her six children in New York City.
