Meek Mill Suggests He Can Sell Out Madison Square Garden or Barclays ‘With 45 Days of Promo’
Meek Mill has given himself a challenge.
The Philadelphia rapper took to X on Thursday morning (Oct. 15) and sent out a tweet saying he could sell out either Madison Square Garden in Manhattan or Brooklyn’s Barclays Center — but only if he has time to promote the shows properly.
“I can sell out the Garden or the Barclays Center with 45 days of promo!” he wrote.
Of course, there were some haters in his replies.
“You not selling out the garden or barclays without a feature… that D&M’s track aint pushing that,” one user wrote referring to Meek’s classic intro track “Dreams & Nightmares.”
However, he had some supporters, with another user writing, “You don’t need 45 days or anything. It’ll sell out on its own.”
If you haven’t noticed yet, Meek Mill’s X timeline is the gift that keeps on giving. The rapper often tweets whatever comes to mind and keeps it moving as people quote-tweet and reply into the social media void. His most recent tweet is about comparing streaming to college sports. “Streaming should be like college sports,” he proclaimed. “The big dawgs should just sell direct sale… it’s no way if you just start dropping music we should have the same price point!”
And this time last week, AI was on his mind.
“I want to link somebody from open ai or Anthropic for 2 missions,” he tweeted on the morning of Oct. 9. “To add ai classes to Philadelphia schools where kids can learn more rapid in fun ways and set to different levels to teach students at their learning comfort level!”
He added, “And to create software or a eco system for artist, investors and supporters that makes more money for all.. technology is changing rapidly and the way we calculate how we get paid and collect data is fully out dated compared to the technology out now! Connect me.”
Speaking of streaming, Meek’s latest song to hit DSPs is “Nightmares to Dreams,” a reimagining of the aforementioned “Dreams & Nightmares.” However, he’s been dropping “leaks” of loosies on his YouTube page during the last month or so.
