This strange tape story begins with Joel Alvarez, a Miami-based photographer and founder of The Black Tape Project, which he describes as “tape art and alternative fashion.” Alvarez covers nude models with black tape to make them appear like they’re wearing swimsuits with a lot of skin showing.
Looks like Joel Alvarez has corned the fashion industry with his Body Tape Art. This fashion trend has grown so much over the past few years that he has now shown his work in over 42 countries and has appeared in a variety of publications as well as every major nightclub in Miami, Ibiza, and the Cannes Film Festival.
