When Donald Trump’s coworker began discussing Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, CBS hosts Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan cut off his microphone.
Once Vance called them “illegal,” they were fact-checked by CBS, who reported that the migrants had temporary criminal status. When Vance became ill, his microphone was cut off as O’Donnell and Brennan tried to divert attention from the controversy.
J.D. also expressed dissatisfaction about being fact-checked, claiming that this was not a consensus throughout the discussion. Ultimately, CBS cut off each applicant’s microphone as the situation spiraled out of control.
