What is Netflix ‘ONE PIECE’ Live Action

ONE PIECE is a story about Iaki Godoy that plays the youthful, rubber-skinned youngster Luffy who, along with his band of outcasts, sails from islands to oceans in pursuit of the enigmatic One Piece treasure. Joining Godoy in the Straw Hats include Taz Skylar as Sanji, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro. They run across opponents who obstruct their search for the desired treasure along the way. Few can stand a chance against Luffy and his group because of his extraordinary ability to lengthen his limbs and outsmart evil men.

The new ONE PIECE series is the first live-action rendition of the iconic manga created by Eiichiro Oda, better known to fans as Oda-Sensei. The swashbuckling devoted Straw Hats members, full of colorful characters, cunning adversaries, and a never-ending horizon to explore.

Vincent Regan, Ilia Isorel’s Paulino, Morgan Davies, Aidan Scott, Langley Kirkwood, Jeff Ward, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, McKinley Belcher III, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward, and Chioma Umeala are among the cast members that have previously been revealed. Live-action pirate adventure ONE PIECE was developed by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix in collaboration with Shueisha. Executive producers, showrunners, and writers, Matt Owens and Steven Maeda. Additionally, executive producing are Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Eiichiro Oda.

ONE PIECE premieres on Aug. 31.
